Female Ejaculation: What Is It Anyway?

By: Christy S

There are two types of female ejaculation, and people often use the term interchangeably, which can lead to confusion.

Two Types of Squirting

In the first type, a small amount of milky fluid is ejected from the urethra. This isn't going to leave the urethra with any amount of force, and you might even miss it because it's such a small amount of fluid. This fluid comes from the Skene's glands, which are located near a woman's urethra. The glands swell when a woman becomes aroused.

The other type of female ejaculation is more dramatic and closer to what we see in porn. But there are a few differences between actual FE and what we see in porn. So far, a few studies have been done on FE. There's definitely more room for research, however, the results have been interesting.

Some women are able to ejaculate a larger amount of fluid. This fluid can be ejected quite forcefully, and it also comes from the urethra. Studies have found that this liquid is stored in the bladder and contains a small amount of urea, which is also found in urine. However, it may not be processed by the kidneys and differs from urine in other ways. For example, you can go to the bathroom before sex or masturbating and still be able to ejaculate!

While researchers delve into the science behind female ejaculation, there's no reason why you can't experiment yourself. All you need is a willing vagina. However, the right tool can certainly make the job easier.

Ejaculating usually occurs because you're stimulating the G-spot. Contrary to popular belief, female ejaculation doesn't always accompany an orgasm. Although, the two often go together.

Find the G-spot

The G-spot is located on the front wall of the vagina behind the pubic bone. The G-spot is actually part of your clitoris. It's just accessible via the vaginal wall. Using your fingers, you can search for a dip or valley with a ridged or bumpy texture. It's easier to find the G-spot when a person is already aroused, so foreplay comes in handy here. Gels can also help the G-spot to swell and be easier to find. We carry Spot-On G-Spot Stimulating Gel for Women, which you can try.

Although the G-spot is reachable via fingers, the right sex toy can really help you out! Consider something with a contoured head or a curved shaft with a bulbous head. A partner's penis may not be bulbous or curved enough to do the trick; although, you can experiment with different sex positions to find the right angle.

Use Sex Toys to Squirt

The following toys can help you master female ejaculation:

Pure Wand
Crystal G Spot Wand
Silicone Velvet Kiss Little Dragon Dildo
Rechargeable Power G
We-Vibe RAVE
Goddess G-Spot Device
Perks Series EX-1 G-Spot Vibrator and Clitoral Stimulating Wand
Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rechargeable Rabbit Vibrator

For many people, intense thrusting necessary to ejaculate. However, you might prefer a gentler "milking" sensation as you drag the toy across your G-spot. Sometimes a thick toy that simply sits against a G-spot gets the job done. Not everyone's G-spot likes vibrations, so you may need to play around to find what works.

You know ejaculation is imminent when you have that "need to pee" sensation. Remember, ejaculate isn't the same as urine. However, it can still make a mess. If you're worried, toss a towel or two underneath you beforehand. You can also purchase waterproof blankets like those from Liberator to add a bit of reassurance.

You'll need to relax your pelvic muscles and body to ejaculate. Otherwise, it'll just be held in and eventually exit your body the next time you pee. You can ejaculate more forcefully and quickly by bearing down just like you would when you pee.

It's often helpful to remove the toy or body part during ejaculation. Anything that's inserted can block your urethra and make it harder to ejaculate.

Feel free to bask in the afterglow, head to clean up, or even try for another orgasm or ejaculation. And if you don't get it right away? Don't worry! Practice makes perfect, and this is the sort of practice that should definitely be enjoyable!
